Microsoft give Windows Phone 7 devices to their 89,000 employees
Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer enthusiastically announced Thursday that all attendees of Microsoft’s Professional Developers Conference will receive a new Windows Phone 7 device. But that’s only about 1,000 phones Microsoft is giving away. Much more impressive, and expensive, is the fact that Microsoft apparently plans to issue a new WP7 phone to all 89,000 of its employees, and would presumably be paying for those costly monthly data plans too. Nokia C7 hits the Indian Shores at a price of Rs 19,490
Nokia C7 which stated shipping 2 weeks back and is now available in India. Although there is no official word from Nokia yet about its availability in stores. A mobile dealer from Mumbai called Mahesh Telecom stated that the phone is now available with a price tag of Rs 19,490 via his Twitter Account. The pricing will vary slightly from region to region and shop to shop. There maybe bundle offers on the handset but it depends on the store from where you purchase it. The price is also expected to come down a little in the coming weeks.
Right now it may not be available in all shops or regions but it should be available all over within a weeks time.
Nokia C7 was launched last month at Nokia World 2010 and is the second Symbian^3 device from Nokia after Nokia N8. The phone sports a gorgeous stainless steel body with 3.5″ AMOLED screen, 8 Megapixel camera with Dual LED Flash, 720p Video Recording and 8GB onboard memory. Check out the

Bounce and Angry Birds by Rovio Developed using Nokia Qt SDK
Rovio has experience on running it's games on Symbian and Maemo devices using Nokia Qt SDK. These games include Bounce, a game offering rich 3D graphics controlled by a devices accelerometer and Angry Birds, a casual, puzzle-style game with engaging demolition physics.

Apps : Nokia N8 Swype vs T9 Video Demo
Ok so thanks to thenokiablog - a version of swype compatible with symbian^3 / N8 seems to be in the nokia OVI store.
To install you have to visit http://store.ovi.mobi/content/58438 on your N8 browser to bypass the ovi store filters.
But it seems to work, theres one issue though - it only has swype in landscape mode - which makes me think its not ready for loading on unintended devices.
But it works well and smoothly. as fast as the Nexus One version i use daily. interestingly T9 seems to be a very quick alternative. but and its a big but, its only fine as long as it gets your words first time, otherwise correcting is a royal tap tap tap x10 pain.
So roll on full portrait swype for the N8. Then the major issue with the N8 - text entry - will be solved.
