Skyfire: Flash coming to iPhone and iPad
Skyfire, which will be available for download at 9 a.m. ET on Thursday for $2.99, is the first such application to receive Apple’s approval for distribution in its App Store. To get around Apple’s restriction, Skyfire came up with an innovative solution: When users click on a page that contains Flash video, Skyfire’s servers download, render and translate the video into HTML5, which is a Web standard that iOS devices support. Skyfire then displays a thumbnail that users can click on to stream the video from its servers.

HTC Trophy vs Samsung Omnia 7
Heres a video comparing the loading time of Retrospaced between the HTC Trophy (Vodafone UK) and Samsung Omnia 7 (T-Mobile UK). HTC Trophy on the left, Samsung Omnia 7 on the right. The HTC Trophy is surprisingly slow. Not sure if there’s something incorrectly setup about this one or if they’re all the same (ignore the battery life warning, the behaviour is identical when the phone is charged).

Nokia N8 Magic with Digital Paint Wall
Greyworld, a London-based art collective, worked in partnership with Nokia to create the Paint Wall. But instead of paint, it uses pixels. It’s a huge six metre long, two and a half metre high interactive artwork that lets you splash digital content onto a wall of LED lights. Fill a bucket with a photo of yourself and throw it onto the wall. Better still, use a Nokia N8 and the Paint Wall app to blow paint onto the wall. It’s all down to infrared cameras, accelerometers and a great deal of clever coding. Seriously fun technology.

Nokia C7 Unboxing and Demo of Symbian^3
Heres a unboxing video and a short interface demo of the Nokia C7. The Nokia C7 is the ultimate flagship of the C-series at the moment. Its best in the class display, AMOLED capacitive touchscreen of 3,5″ looks like a wonder and of course is assisted by accelerometer and proximity sensors. The connectivity is also the best available -- 3G connection with HSDPA 10.2 Mbps, Wi-Fi and of course GPS with Digital Compass and Ovi Maps 3.0. Regarding entertainment, Nokia C7 is hardly to match too, first to start is the 8Gb internal memory where you can save all the multimedia you want, plus the microSD slot in case you have very much of it. Furthermore you can play with the 8Mp camera with geo-tagging and face detection, listen to FM radio through the 3,5mm jack or watch the web TV! Whatever you like to do, with Nokia C7 is possible.

Microsoft give Windows Phone 7 devices to their 89,000 employees
Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer enthusiastically announced Thursday that all attendees of Microsoft’s Professional Developers Conference will receive a new Windows Phone 7 device. But that’s only about 1,000 phones Microsoft is giving away. Much more impressive, and expensive, is the fact that Microsoft apparently plans to issue a new WP7 phone to all 89,000 of its employees, and would presumably be paying for those costly monthly data plans too. (PDC-attending developers who receive a free phone have to arrange for their own data plans). Google world’s most attractive employer; Microsoft drops to #7
