Colour geolocation social networking and photo-sharing app that made major headlines last week, has updated the iPhone app with great speed and user interface changes.
Application available for iPhone and Android, is a combination of social networking and photo sharing. Unlike traditional social networks, there is no "friending" or "below" — the app data from your social graph data as native who do company with which you interact with the most. This also allows you to see the album people are near you, or to a friend or stranger.
The company, which raised an amazing $ 41 million in venture capital before its launch, received mixed reviews on the app While the color is interesting technology (you can see who is in a room under ambient sound and light)the interface has been criticized, causing confusion. and the app is useless, when nobody is near. Last week, Mashable spoke with CEO Bill Nguyen for these issues. at that time, Nguyen promised color will fix these issues the next update.
True to these words, color 1.0.2 addresses some of these complaints with a series of improvements to stability, updated icons and navigation changes.
The first thing you'll notice is the inclusion of many new icons. These icons that include captions, when you press them, provide easier access for the user, history, alarms, and nearby photos. Color has also replaced some icons that were difficult to understand. An example is the heart icon, which shared photo albums on Facebook, Twitter and SMS. Has been replaced with a more intuitive paper airplane icon, making it clear the purpose.
In addition to the icon and user interface changes, color 1.0.2 adds great speed improvements, such as the lack of speed was hampered by the app's usability. Finally, the app is now available in three additional languages: French, Japanese and Chinese.
What do you think to update the app? I do use more, or it may be too little, too late? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
